We employ Coca-Cola clichés including music, beach components, and sound effects. One example is the pop sound, which is frequently used along with the sensation of being rejuvenated after drinking. Our product has no negative effects on or problems with social groups           Due to the seaside scenery it presented, I think our product engages viewers and encourages them to visit. It also offers the suggestion of bringing some excellent, cold Cokes to the beach. Since everyone is likely partying during a football game, I might air the commercial then. It would suggest either planning a day at the beach with Coca-Cola or bringing Coca-Cola to the next party.      Given that I employed more imaginative planning and directing to design and direct some shots that would be used for the plot, I would claim that over the course of this commercial, my production skills have significantly improved. It also encouraged me to think creatively rather than simply producing a similar commercia

Production Blog: Editing time!

Image
Welcome back! The team and I spoke about how we wanted to edit the video. We came to a close consensus on how we originally had planned. At first, we wanted to go straight off our storyboard. For the most part, we did follow it. But when filming we slightly edited the scenes. Instead of shooting the scene where we get out of the car, we decided to simply walk into the beach. That was the biggest difference. When editing I cut down the clips to take out any unnecessary film. I looked through all my playlists until I found the right song that matched the commercial. Since we shot it at the beach I wanted a lighter, summer, fun song. After searching for what seemed like forever I found the perfect song. It's called "Cameos" by Swimming Tapes. I felt the song perfectly captured the mood I was looking for. Then, I added some filters to make the setting look brighter and more colorful. Lastly, I added some transitions and the logo. It came out amazing. I am so proud of m

Production Blog: We finally filmed!

So, I have good news. The group and I finally got to film. We went to the beach and took the time to record all the footage we needed. We do have some additional takes we won't need. Overall, the filming session went well. The sunset wasn't exactly what we wanted but the weather conditions were good nonetheless. I am so proud of the team for coming and putting this together. I was impressed with the acting skills. I dealt with props and directing. We plan to discuss today how we want to edit. Along with choosing which platform we want to use to edit. Honestly, I think we want little to no transitions and some cool music in the background. Lastly, we need to find a logo that is just the words without a background color. Usually I just search up "png". This abbreviation just allows the photos without a background to pop up. I'll have to use trial and error until I find the right one. I don't think it will be to difficult to figure out. Also, Sean finally agreed

Production blog: Didn't get to film

Unfortunately we didn't get to film. With homework and my debate tournament I didn't have the time to film with the group. We are planning to film later today and this upcoming weekend. We are planning to film at the beach so the weather must be sufficient. Also, we would like to record during the sunset so hopefully the sky isn't gray and gloomy. I am happy we didn't film this weekend since it was so stressful. I went to a national tournament called," Nova Titan". It kicks off the debate season on the east coast. I got some meaning full feedback. I plan to use this feedback when filming. Though they seem different both are based on my delivery and acting. Both film and debate weirdly go well together. Many different events in debate require some knowledge of film studies. I find that in media studies we learn lots of valuable information that I could also incorporate into debate. Specifically, my leadership skills. When learning to direct you encounter uncom

Storyboard Time!

First scene During this scene, we will be filming our arrival at the beach walking out with our supplies. The shot will be a wide shot showing the volleyball court and Jack and Randy carrying a cooler of drinks and a volleyball approaching it. We want a shot to set the scene involving the props and actors. Second scene In this scene Jack serves the ball to randy starting the game. The shot will be a Dutch shot angling from where jack is in the frame and serves to give people a perspective. This initiates the game at an angle like the ball is served. When we think of coke what comes to mind is a refreshing soda. Third scene The third scene will be Randy hitting it back to Jack and it return jack hits it out of bounds. This shot will be a zoomed out two-shot showing the full court and both actors. This captures the game and the main game part of the commercial. Fourth scene The fourth scene will be the ball rolling into the cooler of cokes and Randy going to get it. This shot will be

Planning our commercial

Image
Hi everyone! I'm Brianna and I'm going to tell you about what we're planning for our commercial.  Props: Since we've agreed to do a Coca Cola commercial our main prop is going to be a Coca Cola can. Since we're shooting a beach we'll be using: Volley Ball Cooler Car Coca Cola Cans Beach towel Ice bag Costumes: In our commercial we'll have 2 main subjects Randy and Jack. Our actors will wear beach attire. They wear swimming trunks or regular shorts. A regular tee shirt or tank top. Preferably with light and vibrant colors. They could wet their hair in the ocean to fit the beach day look. However, if they're hair covers their face we could have our actors wear a headband. Last resort would be to have them tie their hair into a ponytail. For shoes they could either stay barefoot or wear sandals. Schedule: On 9/30/22, our group research conventions blog was completed for the commercial. On 10/4/22, our group completed the planning blog to establish the prop
