Bringing it to life: Storyboard Blog

Image
Scene 1: As a group, all the subjects exit the car. This introduces the setting. Scene 2: They walk up to the carnival again just to add some foundation. Scene 3: The male subject loses the first game. It's just to add some comedy. It's usual to lose at games. Makes it relatable.  Scene 4: All the subjects are playing around and joking. This shows the teenage experience of just having fun and joking around. This is standard for any teenage film.  Scene 5: The group is walking up to another game. This foreshadows future events.  Scene 6:  This shows the group on the ride having a good time. Again just showing the fun experience. Scene 7: At the fair, the couple is planning to get food. We want to put funnel cake. This is an iconic food for the fair setting. And it's big enough to share.  Scene 8: We want the couple to feed each other. This displays their intimacy and showcases their romance. It is a common yet cute scene incorporated in many love stories. It fits in perfectl

Time to plan: Planning Blog

Hi everyone! I'm Brianna and I'm going to tell you about what we're planning for our music video. Props: Since we've agreed to do a childish Gambino 3005 music video we are keeping the fair theme from the music video and adding a love story twist. The props will be the carnival ride and games that are played throughout the video. A car will be for the opening scene. A stuffed animal that someone will win for another. And a funnel cake for them to share. Costumes: Our outfits will be winter clothes. It is the season of Christmas and it starts to cool down and get chilly. We want to be dressed comfortably but at this time do not have decided clothes as going to a fair is very casual. Jeans or sweatpants and a shirt with a possible jacket is the idea.  Schedule: On 11/14/22, our group research conventions blog was completed for the video. On 11/14/22, our group completed the planning blog to establish the props, schedule, location list, and backup plans. On 11/17/22, o

Let's look into it: Research Blog

Since this is a music video the first thing we need to do is look into how they are made along with some examples. I think it is important to look at what others have created to see what we can do. It is also very helpful when planning our own project. Hopefully one of these videos will give us a good idea.  The first music video I watched was 3005 by Childish Gambino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG35R8F2j8k I love the fair theme. The video mainly takes place on a Ferris Wheel with a stuffed bear next to him. He casually sings the song while gazing at the view. The video was very simple yet beautifully made. You can see all the lights and colors from the fairgrounds. This is something I would love to recreate and expand on.  The second video I watched was See you Again by Tyler the Creator and Kali Uchis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGgcC5xg9YI It starts in a bedroom. But not your traditional one, he was on a ship of some kind. The video mainly takes place on this ship. He is p

I should be the first to introduce the group. In addition to being a musician, I have some editing experience. I'm hoping that what little photography knowledge I have will help me in this course because both my sister and best friend are talented photographers. In middle school, I did attend theatre for three years and took part in numerous minor performances. I'll probably be one of the key subjects for the duration of this learning process. In addition to myself, there are 3 other people in my group. Randy is first in line. He and I first met in AICE Global Perspectives last year. He has a brilliant imagination and is a great artist. Randy is the only person in the group with a license and a vehicle to take us. Sean comes in second. He is a very talkative person who doesn't hesitate to engage in conversation with everyone. Sean not only serves as our spokesperson but also possesses unrivaled editing abilities. Sean is an expert in technology. This will come in handy for

Guess who's back?

Hello everyone! I'm back for another project. I am so excited about this new film we're doing. You won't believe what it is... a music video! Personally, I love music. I was in the choir for many years before I came into high school. Music is a part of my everyday life. Whether I'm in the car or doing my homework I need to listen to music. When I wake up and make breakfast I turn on some salsa to get me dancing. Or if i'm studying I like to play some R&B music to calm me down. It is a passion that I share with my entire family. I love to sing and dance. My uncle is an underground rap artist. My Grandfather plays instruments and sings. My Father also plays many instruments. Since I was small my family has always shared a love for music, it connects us to our culture and each other. Music is what I feel brings the most unity through the entire world. It doesn't matter what language or genre, people come together through music. We are going to have such a grea
