We are set

Hello everyone! I have some good news to share. We have finally figured out a plan to film. After many setbacks and deliberation the group is scheduled to film tomorrow and/or Saturday. As discussed  I won't be in attendance. I am working all weekend. However, they have a friend to fill in my role. We've also switched up the script to where Jack will be the main character. And my character will become the best friend. I definitely have some concern that my part won't be played in the way we had envisioned. However, I hope that with Sean as the director he can get them to act it out correctly. My second concern is that Sean and Jack aren't entirely sure if the friend that is replacing me will guaranteed be available the planned days. If she isn't available we will have to scrap my role entirely. I don't think it'll be too much of an issue; it just isn't the plan. Most likely, she'll show up. But because I'm not to familiar with this friend of the

Decision Time

Hi everyone! So we've done a lot of thinking over spring break. We had planned to film over break. But a lot of events kept us from doing so. I was working full time all week. Jack was out of town on a vacation. Sean actually had gotten bit by a snake and was sent to the hospital. He was in no condition to film. Neither of us were, which is why we've pushed it back. However, we finally decided to cut me out of the film and use a friend to take my place. We have some options but aren't exactly sure who yet. I will take over the editing process with the titles and title designs. I believe that I'm capable, however I am extremely nervous. Now that I'm working every weekend and have practices everyday we had no way of getting a day to film. I am kind of sad I did want to be a part of the filming process. But now I will contribute behind the scenes. We aren't sure if we are going to continue to use Capcut. But, it is a good option that we will still consider. I thin

Not so happy Spring Break: Production Blog

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Again I have some good news but also some not so good news. I wanna start on a positive note so I'll start with the good news. It's finally spring break. I've been longing for this week off. School has been extremely stressful so it's nice to take some time just to breathe and refresh. Bad news though, I will be working all of spring break. With much negotiation and talking, we've come to the conclusion that none of us have the same day off. Either I'm working all day, Sean's working, or Jack is on vacation. This is definitely the most complicated obstacle we've ever had to work around. Best case scenario, we find a way to film next weekend when we're all in town. But honestly I don't see a high chance of that happening. One idea we did have was to modify the script entirely to change the characters. This way if one of us can't make it, the movie can still be filmed according to plan. Ideally we would ju

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. I have a new update finally. But I'm afraid it's not a good one. Good news; I just got hired at a job I really like. Bad news I am working all of spring break. This is going to be very difficult to work around. I can't take the days off either because it's my first week on the job. That would be a very bad look on me. So hopefully we have the opportunity to work around this. So far, we are really behind on our schedule. We've missed two weeks that we were supposed to film. On top of that we are going to miss another two. Then we also have to take into account that Sean has a job and might be scheduled as well. Additionally, he usually works night shifts. This is extremely difficult. Honestly, I am very discouraged. I came into this project really hoping we wouldn't be delayed again. Yet, here we are being pushed back over and over again. I'm losing hope for this project.

Uh oh, not again

Hi everyone. Welcome back. We've had an interesting turn of events. We were thinking about filming this weekend. At least that was the original plan. But I have to work this weekend so I will not be able to attend. Sean has to work as well. So more than half of the team is unavailable to film. This is a huge problem. We aren't sure when we'll reschedule. Hopefully soon though because we have deadlines to meet. I am extremely worried about how this will be resolved. However, I know that we can figure this out. We need to find a day where we are all free. But I work these next three weekends. Which is going to be difficult. I am also unsure of Sean's schedule. He doesn't tell us much about it. But from what I have been told he mainly works weekends. So we'll be working at the same time. See you soon, I hope I come back with good news.

Production Blog: Let's add some things

Hi everyone! It's been a while. I am so excited to be back with this amazing project. As I was speaking with my group today we decided that we need to extend our video. Now, I am not 100 percent sure what exact scenes they wanted to add. But the general idea was to get some shots outside. To emphasize the empty neighborhood. I believe that this dramatizes our storyline. It could also be really cool for the title design. If we decided to end on a zoom-out into the sky with the title. Instead of the original one we had planned indoors. We just think that there's more room for creativity outside. Which I completely agree with. We are scheduled to begin filming soon. But with all this testing and such I am worried that we'll be delayed. Last project we were very behind on filming. I think that as a team we've all had to see how this can fit into our busy schedules. So let's hope we can figure this out. I am very excited to start filming. Until next time!
